Rugby Tour Plan

I've scanned in the Borchure for our proposed tour to Chioggia in Italy. I used the character recognition in my scanner so there could be a few mistakes but it gives the general gist of the tour and, importantly, the costings.

BRISTOL YOUTH RFC U17 PROPOSED ITINERARY TO CHIOGGIA

You will be based in the beach resort of Chioggia on

Italy's Adriatic coast. Often referred to as 'The Little

Venice' Chioggia is located close to Venice, and is one

of Italy's major fishing ports. Situated in the heart of the

Italian mgby area, teams such as Padova and Treviso

(the former club of David Campese) are both close by.

Your accommodation is located near to the beach, and

day trips to Venice, the Rovigo wine producing areas

and the Gardaland theme park (the biggest in Europe

after Disneyland) are all possible. This combined with

the warm Italian climate will be a memorable tour.

Day 1

You will assemble at your chosen airport for your

flight to Venice Marco Polo, Venice Treviso or

Bologna. Once your coach has transferred you to

your accommodation, the rest of the day will be

free (subject to flight times) to sample the friendly

atmosphere of the town or have a light training

session on the beach. The evening will be free for

further exploration and perhaps a group meal in a

typical Italian restaurant.

Day 2

After breakfast the day will be free,

where you may wish to visit Po Delta

Natural Park, until at 17.00 hours you

will travel to your first fixture: -

19.00 Hours - Bristol Youth RFC U17 v Petrarca Padova

You will enjoy excellent hospitality after the game before returning to your accommodation in

Chioggia where the remainder of the evening will be free for you to continue your celebrations.

Day 3

After breakfast, the day will be free for sightseeing when

you may wish to visit Venice with its canals and

gondolas. A boat transfer from Chioggia to the City can

be arranged allowing you to enjoy the sights from the

water.

Day 4

This will be a free day where you may wish to spend time at

the nearby Sottomarina Beach Resort. The evening will

again be free for you to explore.

Day 5

After breakfast, the morning and afternoon will be free until at 16.00 hours you will travel to your final fixture:-

17.30 Hours - Bristol Youth RFC U17 v Ercole Monselice RFC

Once you have spent time with your hosts, you will return to your hotel

where you will be free to continue your celebrations.

Day 6

After the exertions of the previous day's rugby, a leisurely day by the

beach will no doubt prevail or you may wish to go on a tour of the

wine area of Rovigo. fu the evening your group may wish to

experience a pizza party where you will be shown the traditional

Italian way of creating a pizza before enjoying a freshly made one

straight from the oven.

Day 7

After breakfast, the day will be free for sightseeing, and a trip to Lake Garda and the Gardaland

Theme Park and Fun Fair (the biggest in Europe after Euro Disney) is highly recommended. Here you will combine the amazing scenery of Lake Garda with the thrills and spills of the roller

coaster rides of the Theme Park. The braver members of your group may like to try the BIu

Tornado or Ikarus, whilst there are many shows such as the Camelot Tournament in the medieval area, and themed eateries for those who would like to relax!

Day 8

Subject to flight times the morning will be free to spend at your leisure before you depart your

hotel and travel to the airport for your return flight home.
